Oh hello!
In what feels like multiple life times ago, I started an informal luncheon event, called 'Fusion', which brought together like-minded business women to spark ideas and fuel connections.
They became a stand-out in the business networking scene because, I think, of their lack of structure, the high calibre of attendees and the genuine space to create meaningful relationships.
Whilst it was about quality conversations with awesome people over delicious food, I know of MANY fabulous partnerships that were formed ... engagement rings were commissioned, houses were sold, websites built and long-lasting friendships made.
So ... it's time to bring them back!
Same same, for the most part ... just with 2 small differences ...
- Not just for women anymore ... all genders welcome.
- Not just for business owners ... it's hard to find a suitable collective noun for the people I want at this table but think 'impact-minded humans', 'humble leaders' and 'gorgeous souls' ... I think you get it.
Why The Differences?
Why Change Awesome?
Because I've changed.
Since the last Fusion event I've dived deep into the public sector, worked on solving some of the most complex societal challenges we've currently got and had a good hard look at the systemic challenges that keep us, as humans, where we're at.
And division ... separating people into 'buckets' with a subtle (or not-so-subtle inference) that we're 'up against each other ... is one of those systemic challenges.
I'm all about IMPACT. And in particular, creating and holding spaces to empower others (and me) to create the impact we want in our communities. And in our world.
And I am a MASSIVE believer in the power of relationships, conversations and community.
